Once upon a time, there was a retail store in the Twin Cities called March 4th — the “Hot Topic” of its day, it was the main place where you could get your New Wave clothes and accessories. Starting on the TCPunk message board, soon some folks at KFAI decided that date would henceforth be “Twin Cities New Wave Day:” we’ve had a day-long celebration on the station’s alternate channel ever since.
