Just finished another round of updates and upgrades to the website for Minnesota composer Steve Heitzeg. As a musician, it’s a special privilege to work with other artists to best showcase their work. I don’t do that much as a record label any more, but my desire to help people get their music out into the world remains strong.
Looking at the Wayback Machine, I took over in December of 2005. Everything has changed since then: wider and CSS, conversion from static HTML to WordPress, setting up custom fields for details about all his compositions, and so on. For this latest round, Steve gave me images, updates and video links for his latest compositions. We dropped a separate section for recordings, added that detail in to the page for each work, and then built dynamic pages using tags and featured images for his CDs, DVDs and videos. Also added a front page slider to showcase the striking images that are now added to the site for many of his pieces.
Thanks, Steve, for many years of working together, and here’s to many more.
